The available dates on which TEC fix packs may ship for 2008 are listed below. Not all products will ship a fix pack on these dates, but if a product does ship a fix pack, it must be on one (or more) of these dates. This will enable customers to plan maintenance windows around these dates.

2008 fix pack target dates: March 28th, June 27th, Sept 26th, Dec 19

Two latest fixpacks for TEC are Fixpack 7 and Fixpack 8.

Fixpack 8

IBM - 3.9.0-TIV-TEC-FP0008 IBM Tivoli Enterprise Console Version 3.9 Fix Pack 8

Fixpack 7

Fix Pack 7 should first be installed of quality server. Expected downtime on production servers is 2-3 h
Preliminary steps:

Install upgrade on quality server (I need first to bump up it a little bit by installing a log adapter)
Install the second console for and test its connectivity to quality server
Install the second console for all operators

Installation on production server steps:

Shutdown all operators consoles
Perform export from the TEC console
Shutdown TEC and create TEC backup using wbackup
Shutdown framework and create a full backup via Data Protector
Perform actual upgrade (downtime ~30 -90 min)
- From Tivoli desktop: Desktop -> Install -> Install Patch
- Navigate to Fixpack directory
- Click Set media & Close
- Click the name of Fixpack to install
- Check Install and install components one by one starting with JRE
- After completion restart the server
Test connectivity using new console. If failed restore image from Data Protector
If success, de-install versions of old consoles

ITEC 3.9 Fix Pack 7 contains APAR solutions from previously released 3.9 fix packs and interim fixes along with other APARs not previously released. This fix pack is cumulative and supersedes IBM Tivoli Enterprise Console Version 3.9 Fix Packs 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6.
