SLEC10 SP1 Registration

Registration process in Suse 10 is seriously buggy and confusing if you are behind the proxy. In enterprise Suse 10 before SP1 you can succeed only using tech. support. SP1 fixed some most glaring holes but still the process quality remains much to be desired...

Novell support as for making updates work is horrible, much worse then Red Hat (which is equally buggy in RHEL4 but at least support is good).

basfimgw:/etc/zmd # rm deviceid secret
basfimgw:/etc/zmd # service zmd restart
service: no such service zmd
basfimgw:/etc/zmd # rczmd restart
Shutting down ZENworks Management Daemon done
Starting ZENworks Management Daemon

Step 1. Get the URL

Step 2. Put URL in Firefox

Step 3. Close firefox withdow and click continue

Step 4. Try Install patches.
