Former shareware. 13th of August, 1998 UFO 96.4 was released as freeware. The authors said good bye to the DOS world.
Supports long file names in Win95. Has the Windows 95 Start Menu integrated but which still runs in a DOS box. Automatically displays the "file_id.diz"-info files in archives is made for you. You need a file manager which treats archives like subdirectories and which supports the four most important archiver programs (ARJ, PkZip, LHArc, and RAR). Allow to view and modify files directly in archives. Has an integrated UUencoder/decoder. Actively maintained.
Shareware OFM written by Martin Rasmussen
Star Commander is a classical OFM written by Joe Forster/STA. although can be used as a decent DOS-based classical OFM, it has additional Commodore-related capabilties. It understands Commodore file formats (and file formats of the C64 Software Emulator) and can actually access a Commodore drive attached to the PC.
