The best free Windows client is Teraterm. Another good but weaker client is PuTTY a free telnet-ssh client
PuTTY is free software that provides an ssh client, telnet, and several other things. PuTTY also does both ssh1 and ssh2, and saves settings (e.g., hostnames, IP addresses, and telnet, ssh, orraw selections), providing me a way to record (instead of having to remember) the systems that I can connect to. PuTTY also allows me to change window colors.
It comes with additional utilities for windows including scp. See also Secure iXplorer GPL Secure iXplorer GPL is graphical front end to PuTTY's pscp.exe. Ther is also WinSCP a scp for Windows, with PuTTY integrated into it.
FileZilla FileZilla is a powerful FTP-client for Windows 9x, ME, NT4, 2000 and XP. It has been designed for ease of use and with support for as many features as possible, while still being fast and reliable. It supports SFTP.
You can also use the Cygwin and relevant cygwin ports.
